Hey Guys,

Thought it was a time for an update on my blog and today I wanted to talk about something I have been seeing a lot of success with recently when it comes to:

1. Client Acquisition

2. Business Owners Actually Listening To Me

3. Multiple Service Offering Opportunities

There are lots of businesses locally that could really do with our help. As online marketers we see them daily. I am sure you see them every single day just like me, but, when it comes to the part of trying to explain how you can help these businesses, it can be hard to even get a look in, nevermind get them to listen to you intently.

Well, lately, I have been seeing alot of changes in the offline arena, pretty much from the beginning of this year. Competition is getting fierce. It was always fierce but now it seems like hundreds of companies are trying to offer SEO, Web Design and all manner of internet marketing services.

My usual targets such as service based businesses are seeing more and more cold calls and emails, so it is tougher to get them to listen. They still do, but it is definately more of a challenge.

With this happening I decided to SHIFT my business a little towards a new type of client, and one in the past I probably wouldn’t have worried about as they do not carry that “Offline Mom and Pop” label as such.

These businesses are “Ecommerce Businesses”.

Now, before you think that I am talking about working with online marketers here, I am not. I am actually referring to local businesses and people running ecommerce style websites. You would actually be blown away at how many local people are actually trying there hand at selling online.

Mom and Pop businesses are now spending thousands on ecommerce packages too, to keep up with the ever changing shopping trends, and right now it is exploding.

The main problem with this is that businesses and local people are trying to make more money and profit by taking the ecommerce route, only to spend thousands of dollars on fancy looking websites that just sit there doing NOTHING!

This is happening everywhere and if you dig a little, you will see this!

I have been tapping into this little gold mine for a while now!

And lately they are becoming some of my best offline targets!

Why?

Well a few reasons:

1. THEY LISTEN

The biggest and most important reason. When you call up someone that owns an ecommerce business, or a business that is blatantly trying to sell products online, and explain what you can do and how you can help, THEY ARE ALL EARS! I am not calling up offering SEO services here, or a new website.

I am calling up and explaining that I am an internet marketer. I sell products for companies all over the world and I believe I can help you sell more products online. Do you have 10 minutes so I can show you how?

I mean, think about it, who is going to say NO to that.

The key here is that they are trying to sell more products online, and the chances are, as I have found while approaching these businesses, they have put in lots of hours trying to drive traffic and sales to there sites with no luck.

I am the ANSWER to all of there prayers!

2. They Are Relatively Untapped

What I have been finding is that these companies in all areas are relatively untapped.

Why?

It isn’t a niche many salespeople tend to go after!

I know this from experience. When I was a salesman when I had a 9-5 job, none of us targeted ecommerce websites. In fact, we tended to target companies without websites, or with bad websites. If any business looked like they knew what they were doing, we left them well alone for the most part.

I am obviously not alone with this, and when approaching different companies running ecommerce outfits, I am finding a whole world of untapped targets that are intent on listening to what I have to say.

3. There Is Lots We Can Do To Help

When it comes to an ecommerce store, we are in our element as internet marketers. From articles, to videos, to SEO, to better copy, to press releases, there is so many things we could do quite easily to actually drive traffic to a local ecommerce website. We know all the tricks of the trade and all of a sudden we can focus our efforts on worldwide keywords and traffic rather than just local.

You will find the majority have gone online to sell outside of there areas, or even internationally which is our favourite playground!

Regardless of what you specialize in when it comes to helping offline businesses make more from the internet, I guarantee your skills could really help out an ecommerce outfit.

I am seeing some unbelievable results, and finding the acquisition part much easier. Most actually want to listen as they understand how important the internet is.

I have been offering a multitude of things to them, and one service in particular that I may reveal in a few weeks has taken my Rent A Site Model to a new level that hasn’t been seen or talked about before! ; )

But, there is lots of things you can do and I find SEO and Video are huge.

My Tips For Tapping Into This Niche:

I recommend you give this niche a shot, it is prime for what we do and relatively untapped.

I recommend cold calling. I know many hate this, but I have found email is doing nothing in this niche as it is likely deleted with other spam they may get. What I find is most take the route of listing there website on shopping directories to try and get traffic and this brings its spam, so emails get lost.

Cold calling is different, and using something similar to what I mention above works. Be honest, introduce yourself as an internet marketer locally, NOT an internet marketing company, and go from there. Offer to help and show them a few different things you could help them with.

Appointments aren’t always necessary with this either as they are likely in front of the internet anyway, or can certainly get in front of it! This is a great tactic of mine when prospecting. Get them infront of a PC with the internet and walk them through different avenues and show them live examples of other companies doing it. Show them keyword results, the importance of Googles top page, the power of videos, showing is believing. I am sure you get the picture.

It really isn’t as hard as you think and I wrote this post on a Friday so you can set this up to go on Monday.

Why not do some research over the weekend, find some possible targets, and give them a call on Monday! ; )

What’s the worst that can happen?

Ok, I am going to wind this post up now to stop it getting too long. But, the opportunity is there, I have lots more coming on the subject of eccomerce and our services, so stay posted.

Last piece of critical advice!

Don’ overthink it, pick up the phone and run with it! ; )

Have a great weekend!!!

GoGetta

P.S The future is bright, the future is Ecommerce! ; )

Hi Guys,

Ok, first off Happy Easter to all as I write this on Good Friday!

It is absolutely beautiful weather here in the UK and I am working as usual! lol

But, it is all good, because what I am finishing up is something I am very excited about and is going to blow your mind.

Let me ask quickly, how many of you are actually offering email marketing/autoresponder services to local business owners?

I, for one have been since I started my business. Earlier on in my business it wasn’t one of the biggest services I offered, SEO was by far the heavyweight service and is still stronger than ever, but over the years email marketing has grown and grown within my business and this month alone, I have banked over $2500 from email marketing service offerings alone.

Business owners locally are opening there arms to email now, it is becoming much more popular and my conversion rates are climbing rapidly for email as well as my profits for this service. I am going to show you how I am doing all of this next week.

When it comes to email marketing, I actually have a standalone service for this. Although email is sold occasionally as an upsell to other services, I have a full on email marketing side to my business locally which could quite easily be a standalone business right now.

So what has this got to do with you?

Well, first off, if I told you that next week I am launching a HUGE product that will not only show you what types of email marketing services I have been offering within my business, but above all,

How I get local business owners to come to me pleading for my help with email marketing, without chasing, without hard selling and on complete autopilot in the background, while I get on with signing clients up and delivering services!

Without a COLD CALL in sight!

You would probably think this wasn’t possible, right?

Well, it is more than possible and I have been doing it for years! LITERALLY!

I am not only going to show you how and what I am offering when it comes to email marketing to local business owners, but I am going to show you how to generate clients on AUTOPILOT without chasing them.

And on top of this, I am also going to show you:

Which Niches Are Wide Open For This

How To Execute Everything STEP – BY – STEP

And Everything You Need To Make EMAIL A Standalone Business If You Wish

Huge, huge product and content as usual!

In fact, armed with this huge package, you will have everything you need to start up your own standalone email marketing business, from what to offer and how to offer it, and above all how to generate new clients regularly without hard selling or chasing. Or you could simply add this to your current service offerings with ease. The system I am going to show you will work in the background while you get on with signing clients up and delivering for them.

The reason for this blog post today on this beautiful Friday is just to give you a heads up for this.

Email marketing itself is becoming HUGE within my business, and I want to as usual, lay out the reasons why, and how you can replicate this for yourself.

Regardless of your technical ability, or whether you have ever worked with email before, I am going to hold your hand throughout the entire process.

Ok, so I will let you get back to enjoying the weather, especially if you are experiencing any similar to us in the UK right now, and keep your eyes on your email next week for this. This is huge, this is step by step and this has NEVER been seen before! ; )

Have a great weekend guys!

GoGetta

P.S Comments are open if there are any questions. Due to masses of spam I have turned them off on various posts. Also, hit me up on Facebook too!

Hi Guys,

Ok, if you have tried already to acquire offline business owner clients through the medium of cold emailing, you know that it is not only tough to have your emails read with the same enthusiasm you put into them, but, it becomes an absolute battle to try and get your emails opened, in the first place!

Afterall, you can have the best email copy writing skills in the world, or the best package offering in the world, BUT if that email doesn’t even get opened, it’s USELESS!

So, in this rather lengthy post, I want to talk about email subject lines and what WORKS FOR ME!

———————————————————————————–

First off, business owners all over the world get bombarded with sales emails on a daily basis. If they have a website online, you can pretty much guarantee, they have been emailed with an offer for online marketing services at some point. Whether that be from a local company, or an outsourcing company out in India. The likelihood is, they have been targeted before.

Now, this brings the downside!

With so many of the same emails ending up in the business owners inbox on a daily basis, it gets to a point when the business owner scans subject lines and knows which ones to delete without even opening them. Being a business owner myself, I do it! I know from scanning my inbox, which emails are about outsourcing, or website/SEO help. I don’t even open them, I simply hit delete. I bet many reading this do the same!

So, in the past when you may have sent emails, you will have found them being deleted without even being looked at, as they would have fallen into the category of “seen it, not interested!”

Why?

Because they use the same BORING subject lines.

But, today I will hopefully change this for you! ; )

There is an upside to all of these constant emails that hit the business owners inbox on a daily basis regarding similar services to what we want to offer!

And that is,

We have a HUGE OPPORTUNITY to STAND OUT!

You get the right subject line, and BAM, you will stand out like a sore thumb!

In a moment, I will show you a couple of my subject lines that get opened without fail, and you can test this for yourself.

Firstly though, what shouldn’t you do!

1. Don’t mention what you do in the subject line of an email!

Don’t give the game away! When typing a subject line forget about what the email is about. Don’t put in phrases like “Top Page Of Google” or “Website Design Service”, or “I Can Help You Get More Business Online”!

These just SCREAMS, I WANT TO SELL SOMETHING TO YOU!

2. Don’t Use SALE Words

Hype words such as “Guarantee”, “TODAY ONLY”, or “LIMITED“. They SCREAM sales once again! Remember, business owners offline, are sold more marketing than we are online! ; ) They have heard it all before!

3. Don’t CONFUSE The Reader

Forget your internet marketing talk. Subject lines containing jargon such as “SEO”, “AUTORESPONDERS, “Backlinking Campaigns”, “HTML Websites”, “Social Media Marketing”, “Internet Marketing”, “Online Specialst”. We may know what these words mean, but the majority of your targets won’t. If your reader is confused and doesn’t understand the subject line, your email gets deleted!

We need to grab attention here, get the email opened with anticipation to read more, and have the best opportunity for results!

———————————————————————————–

So, here are a few subject lines I use, that I know work as I get opens and more specifically, results from them.

1. F.A.O BUSINESS OWNER NAME

For anyone that is unaware, F.A.O stands for “For The Attention Of”.

This email subject line is KILLER!

Obviously you change the red part to the business owners name. It is very simple nowadays to find the owners name. By simply searching for the business name in Google, check all of the listings that come up. Also, if they have a website, have a good look through it, as many have an about us section which names the owner! ; )

You could also call up and ask whoever answers the phone for the owners name so you can address an email or mailing to them! ; )

9 out of 10 times you will get it with ease.

Not only does this gain attention, as it looks important, but, it doesn’t do anything to confuse or give the game away as to what we are going to offer in the email.

2. As A Therapist, Are You…………

This is also another KILLER subject line offline.

This is tailored to specific niches, and you would just change the RED part to whichever business niche you are targeting. So, if you were targeting Plumbers it would be “As A Plumber, Are You…”

Simple, but the majority of times gets an open. Its specific to the reader, and they are always going to want to know what is to come!

3. As A Therapist, Are You Struggling……….

Again, similar to Number 2, but ending differently.

Same setup, but with a different end to entice the open. With these types of emails, you can lead straight into what you are there for. I wouldn’t even start with a “DEAR ………”. I would go straight into the email and folllow on from the subject line into a conversation. Yur targets will then READ ON!

These types of subject lines from example 2 and 3, can have lots of different endings that entice clicks, so you can play around with it, such as:

As A Therapist,

Are You Also Making This Mistake………

Do You Find……..

Do You Have…….

They are obviously open ended, and always entice the click. They then take the reader into the email where you can simply carry the conversation on.

These subject lines above are a few of my most powerful! They all work, it just depends on your email, as to which to use. Getting your emails opened is key, and this is how to go about doing it. Forget the jargon, ENTICE THE CLICK!

Obviously not every single email will be opened, some hit spam, some are intercepted by gatekeepers, but when it comes to the crunch, these subject lines work and have a much higher success rate than others. So, take action!

Pubs & Clubs LOVE Facebook Fanpages & They Work!

ALERT: Long Post but worth every reading word ; )

Let me explain,

Hi Guys,

I haven’t really updated this blog for a while with some awesome content and just to show you all how much I appreciate you, I thought I would throw this DIAMOND out there for free.

In one day last month I banked a $878 bonus for a few hours drinking beer one afternoon! ; )

How, I hear you ask?

Well, it involves Facebook fanpages and local drinking holes.

Now, I am always on the lookout for new ways to make money offline, and something hit me square in the face one afternoon at the end of February. I was sat on my laptop in my new local, and noticed all over the pub were posters promoting there Facebook page, and to add them for freebies and stuff.

So, I added them!

First thing I noticed was that there were over 550 people liking and following there fanpage online and it was just a simple fanpage. No special graphics or images, just a page where they added special offers and freebies from drinks to food.

This got me thinking as it quite obviously worked!

I went in the following day and had my usual chat with the owner (who doesn’t really know what I do). I was asking about Facebook and why he had a Fanpage. He said it was to get offers and special theme nights promoted and it worked really well.

They did a special offer at the end of January called the “January Blues” offer and it was a 2 for 1 offer on food. It was a Tuesday night and they could have booked the place out twice apparently. This was only promoted via there Facebook page and within the bar. He swore by it!

I asked if he set it up, and he said his brothers’ son did. He paid him £100 to set it up for them and show them how to update it etc.

This got my cogs spinning massively!

Here was a local pub with a basic fanpage and pretty much zero internet marketing knowledge using Facebook to generate business. But, he also paid a family member £100 to set it up and show him how to work it.

Imagine what I could offer!

So, I TESTED!

I am always up for testing, and decided I would organize an afternoon or 2 in some of the pubs surrounding chatting to the owners or managers about Facebook.

I went online and did a little research.

I found 6 pubs locally that didn’t have a fanpage but had a website. I double checked on Facebook to see if I could find a Facebook fanpage and couldn’t.

Think about what you can do with pubs, clubs and also restaurants via Facebook:

Special Offers

Theme Night Promotion

General Promotion

Reviews

Bookings

Free Door Entry (clubs)

Free Giveaways

The List Goes On and On

So, armed with the mental list, I set out to the pubs on my list.

I went on a Monday afternoon as I knew it would be quietest and I could have a good chance of chatting in some length to the owner or manager. When you are sat at a bar chatting to the owner behind the bar, selling doesn’t even come into it. It is just too easy.

Not only are you having a friendly chat but you are also buying stuff, so they will entertain you! ; )

I wasn’t actually bothered in the results because it was just a test. So, if it failed I just went home a little tipsy! : )

Each time, with each bar I sat there and talked about business, explained a little on what I did which was to make money online. I never once mentioned I worked with local companies. I just said I worked for myself. I literally just had a good chat!

Out of the 6 bars, with it being a Monday I got the owner behind the bar in 4 places, apart from 2 places which were managers and 1 of these turned into business, as will be explained in a moment.

I got talking about Facebook with them and explained the benefits of a Facebook fanpage. I also asked if I could add them on Facebook, to which they all replied NO!

I knew this already, but when a customer (me) asks to add them on Facebook and they turnaround and say NO, it psychologically gets them thinking about it. On hearing the NO, I asked why and proceeded to show them an example of what they are missing out on.

I used my local as an example and showed them the local example on my iphone and how they used it.

Rather than beating around the bush, I just asked them straight:

“Can you see the benefit of having one of these setup?”

They all said yes, and I jumped straight in and said:

“What if I set one of these up for you for and showed you how to use it?”

They were all interested but wanted to know costs etc.

I hit them with a cost of:

£180 (Approx $292)

It may seem low or high to some, but this was me testing and I knew these Fanpages would generate more revenue that it costs to set these up. All I intended to do was setup a simple page and show them how they worked and how to use one. I would also show them how using there Facebook accounts, there employees facebook accounts and friends accounts, they could promote it and get followers. I also explained about advertising there page in the bar as well.

2 of the 6, said YES on the spot and I arranged to pop back in the next day and set it all up. Both paid the following day by check. I went away, banked the checks and went and spent an hour setting the pages up.

I went back in and showed them how to use it. I actually went a little step further and provided a guide I had written that night to help them in the future. It was just a simple PDF guide that explained how to update step by step and also had some tips on marketing.

It also at the end promoted me and what I do. (upselling purposes down the line)

This all comes back to over delivering, and then in the future creating more sales and profit! ; )

For the other 4, 1 called me 2 days later and it was the manager I mentioned above. He had spoken to his boss and they wanted me to go and set it all up for them. Again, picked a check up the next day and set it all up for them.

The last 3 places, 2 of which I haven’t heard from, 1 I am close to securing the deal. The only reason they have not gone ahead right now is because they are currently getting a site designed by someone else and want a website before a Fanpage. I would usually have doubts with this, in regards to securing the deal, but I actually feel this will also become a deal for me as I have been in a couple of times since with my missus and the owner always makes a beeline for me and explaines he wants me to do the Facebook thing!

So, I am confident about it!

At this point of writing, from 6 pubs one afternoon, I secured 3 deals and 1 potential deal which is a 50% succession rate overall, and all I did was enjoy a few beers.

I have since picked off many other bars in my area I intend to visit on my next outing. There is so much you can do with Fanpages for local businesses and best of all, sooooooo many upsells!

We are talking simple fanpage setup here, a little time explaining how to use and update one, and then an added guide that they don’t expect, giving them tips and ideas for future use.

So, the key offering was:

1. Simple Fanpage Setup On There Facebook Account.

2. Tutorial Of Use & Updating Along With Marketing Chat (About 1 Hour or so)

3. An Extra Guide On Tutorial & Further Marketing Advice and Tips. (Same Guide Given To Each One)

And The Sales?

There isn’t any selling needed!

You are in the bar owners place, buying drinks and just chatting normally. Trust and Rapport is built on autopilot. That is the beauty of this. I never had to sell anyone or over convince anyone. The proof is in the pudding and I used a local example as an example of how poweful this is. Everyone knows how powerful Facebook is, there is no need for you to have to convince anyone of how big Facebook is.

It is a case of, chat, chat about business, ask about Facebook, when they explain they don’t have it, ask why ans how them what it can do. If you don’t have an iphone, no worries, you don’t necessarily need proof of this working for anyone else. Just explain the process!

One afternoon of beers = £540 (Approx $878) Plus Potentially More!

Not a bad return for a hangover! ; )

On a serious note, have a chat with your local bar and see what happens, this is certainly not rocket science. Facebook fanpages work too well for pub, clubs and restaurants so tap into this locally.

Plus, you can work with as many as you want as there is no real competition!

I hope this has got those internet marketing cogs turning of yours!

Go Get ‘Em

GoGetta

P.S Things work when you take action!

P.P.S I Have turned comments off due to an awful lot of spam. So, real comments get lost in the sea of spam. So, if you have questions, or want to share something in regards to this with me, add me on Facebook >>>>> CLICK HERE
