That’s right, I got a call from the US this morning and there was a very important lesson to be learned within this call that I wanted you guys to hear about!

Ok, so I was sat in my office chair this morning, answering masses of PMs and emails regarding the launch of my new offline product yesterday – The Offline NUKE Effect. Anyway, that isn’t why I got a call from the US this morning!

Back on track….

I was actually sat as mentioned replying to PMs and emails and the office phone went. So I answer and to my surprize it was a half British and half American accent on the other end of the phone. There was also a little delay in our conversation, so I was just thinking it was some sales call from abroad.

Anyway, it turns out the woman on the other end of the phone was looking for help with generating more business to her website. She runs some sort of Realtor company in Fort Lauderdale (I didn’t get all the details as I have arranged to speak with her again in more detail tomorrow). But, the company and area isn’t the lesson.

I asked how she found me and to my surprize, she had actually found me online, ON GOOGLE! Wow, I haven’t been optimising for Ft Lauderdale keywords, so I was shocked to say the least. She was actually British but had been living in the US for years where she started her business.

So, we got talking, and she was asking me about the internet and what she could do with her business online to generate more profits, especially on the “Getting Found Online” side of things. So, I proceeded to explain briefly!

I was actually in a little rush at the time so couldn’t stay on the call long, which is why I have rearranged for tomorrow. But, this was a BLESSING IN DISGUISE!

Why?

Because, I couldn’t go into any detail. I basically had to explain it in simple terms really quickly about what she can do, and what I do to help companies “Get Found!” on Google!

Her response?

Finally, someone that makes this all sound SIMPLE & EASY TO UNDERSTAND!

It was probably a blessing that I had very little time. But keeping things simple without all of the added technical BS, I gained trust right off of the bat. You see, I come across companies all of the time that talk to me about what they have already been told or what they already know, and some of it is just plain confusing.

SIMPLICITY is KEY, and that is the small lesson in all of this. I know there is no groundbreaking information here that is going to set your offline business on fire, but next time you talk to a potential new client, pretend they are an alien from another planet and get real SIMPLE with them.

You will be surprised at where this can lead, and you always have the time to go into more details later.
